Telehealth services for Arizona residents
Looking for weight loss solutions? Do you have uncontrolled hypertension? Need help adjusting your thyroid medication? Working one-on-one with an internal medicine and obesity board certified physician, you'll receive personalized support and expert advice tailored to your unique needs and goals.
1. First we will conduct a telehealth visit and review your past medical history and family history. Some people may be asked to obtain or upload baseline labs. During this visit we will decide what medications to try and come up with a detailed diet and fitness plan that is realistic for you. At the end of the visit your prescriptions will be sent to the pharmacy (can be local or mailed)
2. In one month we will meet again for a follow up visit to discuss your results, review side effects, and adjust our plan if needed
3. Eventually you won't need as frequent visits, it depends on you how often you want to check in. This is not a subscription plan, you decide what you need

Why should I choose The Wellness Society MD for weight loss guidance over my primary care physician (PCP)?At The Wellness Society, we understand that the journey to weight loss is complex and multifaceted, requiring more dedicated time and specialized care than what a routine visit to a primary care physician (PCP) typically allows. While it is essential to maintain regular appointments with your PCP for overall health monitoring, weight loss can be a particularly challenging topic that demands consistent support and expert guidance. By choosing The Wellness Society MD, we are here for you every step of the way, and will guide you through every hindrance you may encounter.

Do you accept insurance? At The Wellness Society, we prioritize making your wellness journey as seamless and straightforward as possible. One of the ways we achieve this is by not accepting insurance. We do have the ability to create a "superbill" which you can use to submit a claim to your insurance company on your own. By avoiding the extra step and administrative burden that comes with processing insurance claims, we are able to focus more on delivering top-quality care to our patients. This approach ensures that our interactions remain direct, personal, and efficient. Additionally, it allows us to offer transparent pricing without the complexities and delays often associated with insurance reimbursements. Our goal is to empower your wellness with minimal hassle, so you can concentrate on what truly matters - your health and well-being.
-
Why choose The Wellness Society MD?At The Wellness Society MD, we recognize that our health is highly personalized and cannot be effectively achieved through a "one-size-fits-all" method, such as simply prescribing medication. Our approach involves consulting with an internal medicine and obesity board-certified doctor who works closely with you to create a comprehensive plan tailored specifically to your needs and goals.

Do I need to get bloodwork done? Some patients may need to get bloodwork done to evaluate for diseases such as hypothyroidism and diabetes. This will help us determine the medications that work the best for you. This will be determined after the initial visit. If you have recent labs you may upload them through DocVilla so that your doctor may review them.

How should I prepare for my appointment?Preparing for your appointment at The Wellness Society is crucial to ensure a comprehensive and effective consultation. Here are some steps to help you get ready: 1. Gather Medical History: Be ready to discuss your family history and personal medical history. This information helps us understand any genetic predispositions or ongoing health conditions that might impact your wellness journey. 2. Identify Barriers to Weight Loss: Consider any obstacles you face that hinder your weight loss efforts. This could include lifestyle factors, psychological barriers, or medical conditions. Being open about these challenges will allow us to tailor a solutions-oriented approach for you. 3. Dietary Intake Record: Write out from memory what you have eaten in the last 24-48 hours. A detailed food diary provides insight into your current eating habits and helps us offer more targeted dietary advice. 4. Set Health Goals: Think about your ideal weight and overall health objectives. Having clear goals can guide our discussion and help us create a personalized wellness plan that aligns with your aspirations.
